Piloting a field course in landscape restoration

Kilimanjaro, Tanzania

In January of 2023, I spent three weeks studying landscape restoration in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania with Professor Niwaeli Kimambo and two other geography students. We investigated tree-based restoration, gully erosion, agroforestry systems, and invasive shrub removal in protected areas.
