MIIS faculty and staff collected over 1000 pounds of food to share with Monterey County farmworker families who, ironically, often go hungry while laboring in the nation’s salad bowl. The Institute exceeded its initial goal and are off and running on the next challenge: shopping for gifts for 100 of our neighbors – families and children who would otherwise face a bleak holiday season. Both initiatives were organized by the Staff Advisory Team.
