Professor Sturm is the George M. Jaffin Professor of Law and Social Responsibility and the founding director of the Center for Institutional and Social Change at Columbia Law School, a partner in the Mellon Creating Connections Consortium (C3). She also helped author the amici curiae brief submitted by Middlebury in the Supreme Court case Fischer v. University of Texas at Austin. Professor Sturm will talk about connecting diversity within different institutions, building welcoming environments for students of diversity, and the mission of diversity vs. the mission of the college.
