Dear Colleagues,

I am happy to announce a significant change in the College’s Tuition Cash Grant Scholarship program. Effective 7/1/11, the dependent children of employees who have worked at the College for at least 4 full-time years will be eligible to receive tuition grants.  Currently, benefits-eligible employees/parents must have worked at the College for at least 10 full-time years to qualify for this program.

As a reminder, the Tuition Grant Scholarship Program provides educational assistance in the form of a Tuition Cash Grant Scholarship for eligible employees’ dependent children who are pursuing full-time undergraduate work at an institution other than Middlebury College that is accredited under section 117 of the IRS Code.

We are pleased to be able to implement this benefit enhancement.  Please refer to the Educational Benefits policy for specific definitions of eligibility (http://www.middlebury.edu/offices/business/hr/staffandfaculty/benefits/education/children), and feel free to contact Human Resources with any questions.
