WHAT: MON – PAVEMENT MILLING
THU – PAVING
WHERE: ELM STREET from No. Pleasant (US 7) to Railroad Underpass
WHY: Preventive maintenance of Road Surface

Milling of Elm Street from North Pleasant Street to the Railroad underpass; also milling of Seymour Street to repair areas near Fire and Ice Restaurant. Thursday and Friday – Paving and line striping of these areas.

Traffic flow through the intersection of Elm, Exchange, and Seymour will be limited when the milling machine is working in the intersection.

The intersection of Elm, Exchange, and Seymour will be closed temporarily when the paving machinery is crossing the intersection. There is time required for rolling and cooling of the asphalt before traffic can be allowed. For those who typically enter Exchange Street from the south, please use the north access from Rt 7 during this period.

Employees and customers of Greg’s Market, Ramunto’s, Pool World, Beverage Center, Coles Florist will need to use the rear drive access to Exchange Street during the 45-60 minutes period the paving is being done across the driveway.

Emergency Services have been notified of this project.
