Hancock, Vermont

 
On Monday, October 18, 2010, the Burlington Free Press reported that the Burlington Police were investigating the homicide of a female resident in the old North End in Burlington.

On Thursday morning, October 21, 2010, the police reported finding the victim’s car abandoned in Hancock.  Forest workers found the vehicle in the woods off Texas Falls Road.   

The Burlington Police and the Vermont State Police are looking for anyone who might have seen the white Hyundai Sonata in Hancock or the collision it was involved in near the intersection of VT Route 100 and Route 125.   Road workers found the bumper and license plate near the intersection.

 “We are making a special appeal to hunters who were in the area of Hancock, Vt., last weekend, particularly the area of Texas Falls Road,” Lt. Jennifer Morrison of the Burlington Police read from a prepared statement today.   “If anyone saw any person who may have been a stranded motorist, a hitchhiker, or any other person who may have seemed out of place, please call.”
