In this website I will attempt to compare the role of comedy in African American Political work with that of Native American political work.  I will do this by attempting to find isolated incidents of comedy in politics and politics in comedy for both groups and also african americans talking about native americans and vice versa to see where these two groups overlap and don’t overlap.  I’m not sure if I will be able to find sufficient examples of over lap that have comedic elements but I plan to look into mixed race comedians as well as the histories of Maroon Societies and Cherokee slave holding legacies.
