ESL Workshops this fall–message from Writing Program Director, Catharine Wright

I am pleased to bring to your attention three extra curricular workshops for students that are designed to meet the needs of ESL and 1.5 generation learners. These workshops will be taught by Holly Stark, certified ESL teacher who has helped Middlebury students in the past. The workshops will run for three consecutive Tuesdays and students can attend any or all. They will cover skills pertaining to the following topics on the following dates:

Tuesday, Sept. 23, 4:30 pm: Reading  (Axinn 220)
Tuesday, Sept. 30, 4:30 pm: Discussion and Conversation  (Axinn 220)
Tuesday, Oct. 7, 4:30 pm: Grammar (Axinn 220)

Many thanks to Hector Vila and Jim Ralph for making these workshops possible. If you have any questions about the workshops or about which students might be appropriate to direct to them, please contact Hector at or 443-2181.

all best,

Catharine Wright

Writing Program Director
