XML Google Maps

XML Google Maps is a WordPress plugin for embedding Google Maps in posts and pages. To use the plugin, do the following:

  1. Go to your blog Dashboard
  2. Click on Plugins > Installed
  3. Activate the “XML Google Maps” plugin
  4. Click on Settings > XML Google Maps
  5. Type in a Google Maps API Key (explained in XML Google Maps Options)

plugins-xml-googleOnce your Google Maps API Key is activated, you can embed any public Google Map you find on http://maps.google.com/ in any post or page on your site.  Here are the steps:

  1. Go to Google Maps and locate or create a map to use in your site
  2. Click on “Link” (upper right corner) and copy the “Paste HTML to embed in website” field
  3. Add or edit a post or page on your site
  4. Click on HTML tab (upper right corner)
  5. Paste embed code that you copied from Google Maps
  6. Click Publish or Update button
