I am glad you enjoy this, and congrats on your first marathon! I am trying to complete one this Spring, and it successful, it will be my first in many years.

Jeff,

I love reading your reflections on these areas in Midd and around it. I grew up there, but now live in Albemarle County, Virginia. My dad went to Midd College in the 60s and I have hiked and skiied around much of the areas that you mention. I've recently gotten back into running and have upped my mileage quite a bit in the last year or so - running my first marathon in November of 2010. It is great to see your routes, and your thoughts on them - I am looking forward to some runs when we get up to see my folks next summer.

Anyway, thanks for your posts and your pictures - they are a wonderful reminder of my "homeland"...

Peace to you,
