We hope that this will be come a resource for people reading Anna Karenina in the 21st Century.  Many of the themes and issues brought up are still relevant today and we hope to make them more accessible for a modern reader.

We have included various forms of media to enhance the reader’s understanding of the context of Anna Karenina, such as Russian art from Tolstoi’s era, a view of Tolstoi’s life and inspiration, and the blog of Anna K, a member of New York’s social elite.
