Esme Lutz

Esme is a senior feb excited to be part of the TEDx Middlebury 2013 team. She has been extensively involved with on-campus social entrepreneurship initiatives as an Old Stone Mill Board Member, an intern at Middlebury’s Center for Social Entrepreneurship, a participant in the MiddCORE program, and a finalist in the MiddChallenge grants competition. Outside of class, Esme has worked with local students to improve their observation and articulation skills as part of the college’s Museum Assistants Program and served as photography producer for the 2010-11 Narrative Journalism Fellowship.

She is interested in mapping, GIS, and the potential of young people with ideas and initiative to make an impact on the organizational level. This past summer, Esme worked to create a photographic documentary with the Rehwa Society, an Indian non-profit organization established to perpetuate a regionally traditional craft through employing and supporting female weavers.

Esme is a Literary Studies major from Basking Ridge, NJ. After graduation, you’ll find her in Washington, D.C.
