Gifts to the Friends of the Library contribute to the acquisition, promotion, and preservation of unique and rare materials, including the Rutland Railroad Archives. In 1999, the Heaton Bullock Memorial Fund was established to provide support for the conservation of the founding collections that were donated to the Rutland Railroad Archives.
