Whether you are a former player, past or current parent, or friend of Middlebury Rugby, we want you to join us! This annual event is one of the highlights of our year and we are hoping to have strong representation from folks affiliated with every class of Middlebury rugby from 1972 right through to 2011. We’ll be playing the annual alumni game (so dust off your cleats) and a new feature of the weekend will be the alumni dinner, which I hope you will attend:

Venue: Middlebury College
Schedule:
• 11 AM – The highly anticipated Alumni Game
• 1 PM – Support The MCRC 1st XV vs. UConn (Division I League Game) – BBQ during the game
• 6:30 PM – Dinner ($20 plus cash bar) at the Crossroads Café (in McCullough)
Housing on Friday and Saturday night available at Bread Loaf ($35 per night)

First round of the Div II Men’s National Championship playoffs will be on April 16 (sweet 16) and April 17 (quarterfinal) in 2011. The semis and final will happen over the April 30 – May 1, 2011 weekend. The venues were just announced – back in Florida for the first rounds; a new location in Pittsburgh for the semis and finals:
April 16-17: Sweet 16 & Quarterfinals – Seminole Soccer Complex Sanford, FL
April 30-May 1: Semi-finals and finals – Founders Field Pittsburgh, PA

This past weekend Middlebury held it’s annual Fall Family Weekend, a chance for parents and siblings to see first hand what life is like for their students on campus. The MCRC was fortunate enough to have a great turnout of parents at the game against St. Mike’s on Saturday. Several hours after the game we held a small reception in the Atwater Library. This great event gave parents the opportunity to meet and talk with each other, several players and the coaches and after this year’s success we will look to host a similar event each year! Thanks to all the parents and sons who attended.
