Due to heavy rainfall over the past few weeks the Middlebury pitch is unplayable. This Saturday’s matches against the University of Albany will be held in Burlington at the Tree Farm.
Both A & B matches will kick-off at 10:15am.

This Saturday, October 6, Middlebury will compete in the ECRC 7s tournament at Amesbury Sports Park, 12 South Hunt Rd., Amesbury, MA. Please come out and support the boys in blue. Click here for directions.
Middlebury will be in Pool B with Southern Connecticut, Albany and AIC. Pool A will consist of Defending Champs BC, Northeastern and UMass-Amherst, and UConn. 4 points for a win, 2 points for a tie, 0 for a loss. The winners and runners-up of each pool will advance to the semi-finals and the winners of those games will meet in the final. The winner of this tournament will advance to the USA Rugby Collegiate 7s National Championship.

Middlebury takes on Salisbury in the DII National Championship semi-final at Founders Field in Pittsburgh, PA. These two teams met in the corresponding fixture in 2007 in Sanford, FL. Middlebury, eventual national champions, beat Salisbury in that game 49 – 14. Four years on and anyone who played in that game has now moved on.
All of the DII men’s and women’s semi-final and final games will be streamed online at http://www.ustream.tv/usarugby.
Kick-off for the Middlebury semi-final is at 3:15 PM.

Tomorrow The MCRC gets on a plane to sunny Florida to take on St. Joe’s in the National Championship Round of 16. The game is at 2 PM this Saturday, April 16 at the Austin Tindall Regional Park (click here for directions.) Game is on Field 6. This is the first meeting between these two teams.
Saturday’s winner will go on to the Sunday quarterfinal game where they will meet the winner of the Bentley vs. University of Southern Florida game (1 PM kick-off at the same venue.)

Middlebury takes on Yale in their final warm-up game of the spring. 1 PM kick-off for the 1st team, 3 PM kick-off for the 2nd team. Last year the Bulldogs got the better of the Blue in what has become an annual event.

Div II New England Champions Middlebury take on Div I New England Champions team Northeastern in their second warm up game.
First round of the Div II Men’s National Championship playoffs will be on April 16 (sweet 16) and April 17 (quarterfinal) in 2011. The semis and final will happen over the April 30 – May 1, 2011 weekend. The venues were just announced – back in Florida for the first rounds; a new location in Pittsburgh for the semis and finals:
April 16-17: Sweet 16 & Quarterfinals – Seminole Soccer Complex Sanford, FL
April 30-May 1: Semi-finals and finals – Founders Field Pittsburgh, PA

Middlebury takes on Harvard in a pre-season warm up game at Middlebury. In the spring the MCRC made the trip to Harvard and lost on a muddy field 12-20. Harvard returns the favor this time and will travel to the home of the BLUE on what should be a beautiful sunny day…perfect day for rugby.
MCRC merchandise will be on sale–A side game at 1 PM followed by B side at 2:30 PM–bring your friends and families!
This game could feature a two faces to The MCRC side: South African freshman Cameron Wilson ’14 and London boy Devin Risinger ’14. This game also sees the return of 4 former Middlebury A side players from abroad: Drew “Mouse Jr.” Harazimowicz ’11 in the second row, Zach Bills ’11 in the back row, scrum half Michael Hodge ’11 and center Ben Cmejla ’11.
