Like you, my bottom-line take-away from the various models is that this will be a really close election.  I&#039;ve said so repeatedly, publicly, and I too have predicted tightening.

Alas, I&#039;m going a bit wobbly!  The fundamentals are baked-in; the convention bounces have faded; the campaigns are doing what they do.  Still, President Obama is up by several points.  

Thus I find myself thinking more and more about Larry Bartels&#039; analyses almost one year ago...
