Obviously, President Obama and ex-Mayor/ex-Governor Palin have different positions in American life. But you write, “Her remarks were viewed as self-serving,” and try to explain it away. Sorry. Her remarks were viewed as self-serving and not at the right pitch and tone because they were self-serving and did not achieve the right pitch and tone. Compare what Palin said with Senator John McCain’s comments in The Washington Post.
