It looks like higher-than-predicted turnout in some areas so far. That could benefit the Democrats and prevent total disaster. But Mr. Golden Tan will still be the next Speaker. My bet is for a 48 seat pickup, mostly through hope that Matt Zeller will pull off a miracle win in the NY-29th district, and all my unpaid work this summer will count for something.
