Max Benjamin, Michael DeLucia, and Maria Perille (3M) are all senior Economics majors at Middlebury College. While the name 3M is usually associated with Scotch Tape and Post-it notes, this team of research assistants has brought new meaning to the name. While all three research assistants do have first names that begin with the letter “M,” legend has it that they got the nickname from the Japanese Acronym 3M which stands for Majide Mou Muri (Doing the Extremely Impossible)
