Man, I bought a lot of records last year. And no, it’s not that I can’t edit, it’s that all of these were truly “best of the year” candidates.

Speaking of Neil Young, the “Live at Massey Hall, 1971″ disc was good enough to make one cry, were one so inclined to cry over rock and roll. Which one is. Speaking for oneself.

But Hieu’s comment reminded me of an album that came out last May that Matt and I both like. It’s a debut album by a Swedish group called the Mary Onettes, though you could never guess the country of origin by the music, which has a kind of 80s/90′s New Order sound. I added it to our list, giving us an even ten.
