About MOQA

The Middlebury Open Queer Alliance (MOQA—pronounced like mocha) is an organization for students of ALL genders and sexualities. Our primary goals are 1) pursuing education and activism around queer issues, 2) providing a safe space for queer individuals and allies, 3) coordinating support resources for questioning and closeted students, and 4) organizing social events for Middlebury College’s queer and ally communities. At meetings we plan activities and events to raise awareness of queer issues on campus and also hold weekly discussions about queerness and all things that intersect with it (race, ethnicity, disability, class, nationality, spirituality, etc.).  Weekly meetings are held Sunday at 8 P.M. in the Chellis House (the white house behind Proctor to the right of the Queer Studies House).
