Working on Campus this Summer

Students interested in securing a job on campus this summer, please read ALL the information on the Student Employment Office (SEO) Website.  http://www.middlebury.edu/offices/business/seo/summer

Here are a few high-lights:

How to apply for a Job

Jobs will be posted on the SEO website.  Students will need to complete a profile through the online system (follow the instructions posted on the Web page) if they haven’t already.  It is recommended to set up the profile up NOW so you will be ready to quickly apply for jobs as they become available.   https://middlebury.igreentree.com/CSS_MIDD_Student/CSSPage_Welcome.asp

All students hired to work for Middlebury during the summer must submit a Summer Student Employment and Housing form to SEO by April 20th.  Forms are available on the Website and in the office.

Students that have not worked on campus before and do not have a blue employment card, will need to complete some forms in SEO.  Click on Employment Eligibility on the website for additional information.  http://www.middlebury.edu/offices/business/seo/eligibility

All summer jobs must conclude by August 17th, the end of Language Schools. Job extensions previously approved by the Student Employment Office are the only exceptions (these will be noted on the job posting).

Campus housing is available only to those who are working on campus a minimum of 30 hours per week in an on-campus Middlebury student position.

Weekly Costs for Summer Student Employees living on campus:  Rent is $50 per week and covers housing and activities fee.  Summer Student Employees will be housed in Stewart and Starr. The meal plan is an additional $50 per week from June 11 to August 17 and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Friday and brunch and dinner on the weekends.  Meals will be served in Ross Fireplace Lounge.  Student Employees housed on campus during that time period will be charged for the meal plan.  Payments for room and board will be made through payroll deduction unless prepaid in full by April 20th.

[Note: 2012 graduates can NOT work in a student position and may NOT live in student housing.  Please click on job seekers on the College’s home page to see available staff opportunities.]
