A teacher who attends all of the Circle sessions in the 2019 – 2020 school year will accrue 14 hours, and be eligible to receive a certificate of completion from the Middlebury Math Teachers’ Circle. In particular, note that
· The Conference Board of Mathematical Sciences recommends this model of professional development;
· Math Teachers’ Circles are aligned with the Common Core Standards for Mathematical Practice;
· Participating teachers use more inquiry-based practices in their classrooms, which aligns with the approach of the International Baccalaureate framework.
