Having raised a child with severe handicaps, I am fully aware of the importance of how medical emergencies are handled; in the process I have met some amazing young people, including my own son, who is a first responder in the New York FDNY.

In this nutsy world it is wonderful to see young people involved in such activities.
In my day we used to joke that if we taught our children to be so responsible thay would not be out stealing hubcaps!
