Completely agree. I have seen parents (guilty) using technology to replace face-to-face interaction. Sometimes it helps and sometimes it increases the feelings of disassociation, especially with early 20 yr. old. Now a days the only interaction I get with my 20 yr. old is texting... but, at least it's something.
Great post, thank you - helps to know it's not just me and be more aware.

I can't agree more with the words spoken. Our generation of parenting does their children no favor by the constant connectedness and disallowing their progeny space to think, grow, learn, and progress on their own. There has to be a happy medium between being disconnected and over connected... support vs. hovering and controlling.
