Ode to the Library

On Thursday, May 6, we celebrated a new name for the college library.  As part of the naming event, Xander Manshel ’09 produced this short tribute to the library from the perspectives of three students. Easy to see why it’s the heart (and soul) of our academic community.

  4. Will was one of the FYC’s for Stewart, when I first meet him. He is right when he says the library is a special place with so much to offer to students, faculty, staff and the community. Out of all the buildings I’ve stewarded over the past 25 years, the Davis Family Library has given me the most job satisfaction and inspired me to reach for higher learning.

  5. It makes me quite proud to read that students find the library to be at the core of the Middlebury campus and community. Bravo on this sound investment.
