Things That Happened, Things To Do—Week of April 5

Each Monday (yes, this week, it’s Tuesday), the editors at Dispatches  offer a recap of things that happened over the weekend and a look ahead at what’s going on this week on campus. We hope to point you toward links that you may not have seen, alert you to events that you won’t want to miss, and call your attention to items that captured ours. Enjoy.

  • Denise Hofmann ’11 is studying abroad in Hangzhou, China, this semester, and she recently wrote about Google’s decision to leave the country in her blog “My Quarter Note Muse.”
  • Musician Ezra Axelrod ’08 returns to town for a Saturday evening performance in Mead Chapel. Sponsored by the Middlebury Open Queer Alliance, Axelrod’s performance will explore  themes of lust, love, conflict, and masculine/gay identity through original songs.
