Middlebury

A philanthropy network that supports Middlebury athletes. Go Blue!

Support the Middlebury Women’s soccer program! We’re excited to set off, with your help, on a meaningful, fulfilling, and fun trip to Buenos Aires, Argentina this May. The ten day journey will combine soccer training and match play, community service, and cultural events to create a memorable experience for our players and the people we meet there.

The goals of the trip are:

Learn from the Argentinean soccer culture, in order to further refine our unique style of play

Experience the social culture and learn about the country’s history and traditions

Give back to the communities we visit, by reaching out to underserved girls who do not have access to the same soccer opportunities that their male counterparts have while growing up. Through prearranged service events, this trip will move beyond the traditional “soccer and sightseeing” model to establish a deeper, more meaningful connection with the people we meet.

Have a great Team trip! While social bonding is important, it is the task-oriented bonding that will benefit our players next season and throughout their lives. Our players have ownership of the planning, fundraising, and implementation of this trip from start to finish, creating a learning experience that will bring the group even closer to face future challenges.
