Fight Hunger this Summer with AmeriCorps!

smalllogoThe New York City Coalition Against Hunger, in partnership with Green Guerillas, is currently accepting applications for summer positions in the Anti-Hunger Empowerment Corps. This is a perfect opportunity for college students interested in poverty, nutrition and environmental issues!

Position responsibilities will include working with urban gardens, farmers markets and community supported agriculture (CSA) in low-income communities. Duties may also include volunteer outreach and management, fundraising, nutrition education and benefits outreach. Professional training will be provided for all activities. Some positions will include some evening and/or weekend hours. Positions run from June 1st to August 31st. Corps members will be paid a $3017 living stipend for the summer, as well as receive an education award of $1250 in exchange for completing 450 hours of service.
