Business Incubator Development Internship at the Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship
The Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship is a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to providing entrepreneurs, business owners, and engaged community members with opportunities to learn and succeed. The Center’s main offerings are a business incubator, workshops, and one-on-one coaching on various topics, including financial management, social media, sales, marketing, and more.
The Center is seeking a motivated, creative intern to assist with marketing, curriculum development, and program documentation/structure for our core incubator. We are looking for someone who is not afraid to dig in and is always ready to learn more. Experience with business and/or economics is a plus, but is not required. The intern will report directly to the Program Director (Jake Nonweiler, a Middlebury alumnus!), but will also work with the Executive Director.
The Center is situated in the heart of downtown Keene, NH, and after a recent renovation, offers more than 20 offices for incubator associates and 3 conference rooms for workshops and events. After this expansion, we have open offices that we want to fill with quality, passionate candidates. As a result, we’re starting an initiative to rebrand and reenergize the incubator by offering new workshops, refining the incubator program itself, and advertising in more innovative ways.
An incubator is a dynamic learning environment, fueled by passionate entrepreneurs, staff, and experienced instructors. It’s a community as well as a classroom, where entrepreneurs from all industries, experience levels, and interests come to learn and grow. We would welcome the energy and thinking of a Middlebury College student.
We are a growing team and organization with many foci, including manufacturing, food and agriculture, independent retail, and business financing. We would welcome an intern’s additional interests and plan to include him/her in events, meetings, and community engagement opportunities, when possible.
