Internship available: LEED Innovation Credits Researcher for Middlebury Field House Design and Construction

This internship is a non-credit bearing opportunity for Middlebury students interested in green building design and construction. The internship will be focused on researching and developing proposals for innovative features to be considered for a new field house the College is designing pursuant to its Sustainable Design Guidelines which are based on the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program (LEED). Middlebury is seeking LEED certification for this project.

One to two interns will be hired to work closely with Sasaki Associates of Cambridge, MA, who are designing the field house with a committee of faculty, staff and students at the College. Interns will be supervised by Jack Byrne, Director of Sustainability Integration, and Andrea Murray, Visiting Instructor in Architecture. They will also work closely with the College’s project manager Mark Gleason. Interns will need to be available, in Middlebury for 2 or 3 days a week, approximately 16-24 hours a week.
