The CarbonNeutral Company is a twelve year old provider of carbon management and carbon offsetting services. The company has invested in over 200 emissions reductions projects on six continents and has over 300 major corporate clients worldwide. The built environment sector has grown importance and the company has recently pioneered the integration of carbon offsetting into the LEED green building rating system.
This internship is primarily focused on refining our approach and value proposition to the green building sector.
This position would provide research and sales support to the sales and marketing team of The CarbonNeutral Company.
The role involves:
- LEED/carbon offset value proposition
- Evaluate all versions of LEED and develop distinct value proposition for each
- New Construction
- Commercial Interiors
- Existing Building
- Volume Build
- Develop examples of when ‘buying’ LEED points with carbon offsets makes sense
- Create options matrix for each version of LEED including linkages to status with TCNC
- Recommend upgrade to marketing initiatives based on above
- Website
- Product sheets
- Pitch
- LEED project pipeline analysis – 20,000+ projects
- Narrow project list based on a given set of filters
- Researching companies from a target list of sectors
- Researching contacts and contact details within these companies
- Collating the data in a set format to integrate with an internal database
- Creating complete and coherent reports on specified companies, including:
- Company structure
- Key people in the company
- Overall business strategy
- Outreach to selected companies
REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent research skills; ability to maintain focus while assigned to long-term projects
- LEED knowledgeable is a preference; basic understanding of the carbon market
- Ability to analyze complex data and make recommendations
- Good communication skills
- Comfortable on the phone; calm and not easily flustered
- Comfortable interacting directly with senior management
