The Friends of the Mesa Refuge seeks a part-time development coordinator (10 hours per week).
Responsibilities include:
- Identify and research local, regional and national foundations that would be a good fit for the Mesa Refuge as well as foundations where Mesa Refuge board members have relationships/connections
- Work with the development committee to draft initial inquiries to foundations – Letter of Inquiry etc.
- Work with development committee to develop and craft proposals
- Work with Program Director and TCI staff to develop and prepare supplemental materials e.g., financials, budgets, resumes, etc.
- Submit proposals to foundations along with all relevant materials in a timely manner
- Keep track of application deadlines
- Follow up with foundation staff by phone and in writing and coordinate with development committee when necessary
Candidates should have development experience, excellent writing and communication skills and be an independent, efficient and responsible worker.
Candidate will report to the Program Director.
Rate negotiable.
