Have you heard of the Waste-to-Energy industry? Instead of filling up our precious land with garbage, Companies in the industry burn waste to produce energy. According to Green Career Central, “for each ton of municipal solid waste combusted, 500-600 kWh of electricity are produced.” The industry is very careful to burn the waste in such a way that the emissions are controlled and scrubbed.
