World Camp offers a unique international development intern program that allows individuals to make a significant impact by teaching children and teachers over the course of four day educational camps in rural primary schools. Groups of volunteers perform four day projects teaching the World Camp curriculum which focuses on HIV/AIDS education, environmental awareness, and gender equality to primary school aged children and teachers in identified rural schools. The project expands over the four days as activities performed from the curriculum are designed to encourage team-building, confidence-building and community outreach among pupils and teachers. Over the course of a five week program, volunteers will visit five primary schools. Four week volunteers will visit only 4.5 schools and will miss the final program evaluation at the end of the session.
