Human Resources is pleased to announce a collaboration which will support diverse recruiting and assist our efforts in creating valued employees.
We are collaborating with Creative Workforce Solutions, which is itself a cooperative effort comprised of many Vermont Human Service offices, and will offer Hiring Managers additional resources for hard to fill positions. Common subsidized services include:
Tours of interested departments- These are an excellent way to introduce candidates to The College. A tour provides real-world understanding of our various environments and necessary skill sets.
Short Term Job Shadows- The length of these job shadows are customizable- from as little as 2-3 hours a week to a full week or 2, job shadows allow supervisors to evaluate candidates directly performing their work duties, while the candidates get hands-on understanding. CWS pays a candidate during these job shadows, and covers candidate liability as well.
Risk Free Trials of New Employees- Perfect for candidates with potential, but in need of additional training. Based on a predetermined length and schedule, these trials are a natural extension of the Job Shadow process. CWS pays a candidate during these trial periods, and covers candidate liability as well. Successful candidates may also participate in additional On the Job Training,which features partial reimbursement to employers, after the trial period.
