CHANGE IN PAYROLL DEADLINE FOR THE LAST PAYROLL OF 2015 (BW26)

The College will be closed for the holiday break at noon on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 and will re-open on Monday, January 4, 2016. The following change has been made to the time entry and time approval deadline. Please note that the time entry AND approval deadline is 6 days earlier for this pay period.

  • Deadline for submitting AND approving time – Thursday, 12/17/15 at NOON (12:00pm)
    • Remember to submit your time prior to NOON to allow supervisors adequate time to approve timesheets; please note, the pay period is 12/07/15-12/20/15 and does not include any Holiday time.
  • Paychecks* and direct deposit stubs will be delivered through regular campus mail on Wednesday, 12/23/15
  • Paychecks* and direct deposits will be dated Wednesday, 12/23/15

The time entry deadline is 4 days earlier for this pay period.

These changes are required to accommodate for the Thanksgiving holiday and are critical to the early payroll processing.

  • Deadline for SUBMITTING AND APPROVING TIME – FRIDAY, 11/20/15 10:00am

CHANGE IN PAYROLL DEADLINES FOR NOVEMBER PAYROLLS (BW23 AND BW24)

Please read below the changes to the time entry deadlines and pay dates for BW23 (pay date 11/13/15) and BW24 (pay date 11/25/15). These changes are required to accommodate for Veterans Day1 and the Thanksgiving holiday.

Pay period BW23 (10/26/15 – 11/08/15)change to time entry deadline only

  • Deadline for submitting/approving time – Monday, 11/09/15 12:00pm
  • Paychecks and direct deposits issued and dated – Friday, 11/13/15 (no change)

Pay period BW24 (11/09/15 – 11/22/15)change to time entry deadline and pay date

1Veterans Day is a federal holiday and all banks are closed. To comply with ACH deposit rules, payroll processing must be accelerated to account for the closed day.

CHANGE IN PAYROLL DEADLINE FOR THE LAST PAYROLL OF 2014

The College will be closed for the holiday break from 5:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2014 through Thursday, January 1, 2015.  The last payroll of 2014 falls within the holiday break, with a pay date of December 24, 2014.  The following change has been made to the time entry/time approval deadline and paycheck distribution:

  •  Deadline for submitting AND approving time – Tuesday, 12/16/14 10:00 a.m. (Remember to submit your time prior to 10:00 a.m. to allow supervisors adequate time to approve timesheets; please note, the pay period is 12/08/14-12/21/14 and does not include any Holiday time.)
  •  Paycheck Distribution* – checks will be available for pickup on Wednesday, 12/24/14 from 8:00 -10:00 a.m. in the Student Financial Services Office, 1st Floor of the Service Building (Please bring your College ID with you to pick up your check. You will only be able to pick up your own check – NO EXCEPTIONS. Any checks not picked up by 10:00 a.m. will be delivered through regular campus mail on Friday, 1/02/15.)
  • Direct deposit stubs will be delivered through regular campus mail on Friday, 1/02/15.
  • Paychecks and direct deposits will be dated Wednesday, 12/24/14.

To accommodate for the short workweek during the week of Thanksgiving, the following change has been made to the time entry/time approval deadline and paycheck distribution:

IRS Warns of New Email Phishing Scheme

IRS Warns of New Email Phishing Scheme Falsely Claiming to be from the Taxpayer Advocate Service

WASHINGTON —The Internal Revenue Service today warned consumers to be on the lookout for a new email phishing scam. The emails appear to be from the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service and include a bogus case number.

The fake emails may include the following message: “Your reported 2013 income is flagged for review due to a document processing error. Your case has been forwarded to the Taxpayer Advocate Service for resolution assistance. To avoid delays processing your 2013 filing contact the Taxpayer Advocate Service for resolution assistance.”

Recipients are directed to click on links that supposedly provide information about the “advocate” assigned to their case or that let them “review reported income.” The links lead to web pages that solicit personal information.

Taxpayers who get these messages should not respond to the email or click on the links. Instead, they should forward the scam emails to the IRS at phishing@irs.gov. For more information, visit the IRS’s Report Phishing web page.

The Taxpayer Advocate Service is a legitimate IRS organization that helps taxpayers resolve federal tax issues that have not been resolved through the normal IRS channels. The IRS, including TAS, does not initiate contact with taxpayers by email, texting or any social media.

  • Deadline for submitting AND approving time – Tuesday, 12/17/13 10:00 a.m.

Remember to submit your time prior to 10:00 a.m. to allow supervisors adequate time to approve timesheets; please note the pay period is 12/09/13-12/22/13 and does not include any Holiday time.

  •  Paycheck Distribution – checks will be available for pickup on Friday, 12/27/13 from 8:00 -10:00 a.m. in the Human Resources Office
