CHANGE IN PAYROLL DEADLINE FOR THE LAST PAYROLL OF 2017 – MONTEREY (CB26)

The Institute will be closed for the December break beginning at 5:01pm on Friday, December 22, 2017 and will end at 11:59pm on Monday, January 1, 2018. The following change has been made to the time entry and time approval deadline.

  • Deadline for submitting AND approving time – Friday, 12/15/17 at NOON (12:00pm)
    • Remember to submit your time prior to NOON to allow supervisors adequate time to approve timesheets; please note, the pay period is 12/11/17-12/24/17 and may include some Holiday time.
    • Non-exempt employees must record December 22nd 5:01 pm through 11:59 pm January 1st as “Holiday.”  Exempt employees do not need to record Holiday hours this period.

Due to the Institute being closed on Friday, 12/29/17, your paycheck for CB26 (check date 12/29/17) will be available for pickup at the following location:

Where: Security Hut behind the Admissions building (Lara Soto Adobe Building.)

When: Any time after 8:30AM; if no one is in the Hut, please use the blue phone to call security and someone will come and give you your check. Please be prepared to show a photo ID.

Please note that 12/29/17 is not a federal holiday and banks will be open. To accommodate for the short workweek during the week of Thanksgiving, the following change has been made to the time entry/time approval deadline:

Pay period BW24 (11/06/17 – 11/19/17)

  • Deadline for submitting/approving time – Friday, 11/17/17 10:00am (time entry and ALL approvals)
  • Paychecks and direct deposits issued and dated – Wednesday, 11/22/17

Important message regarding paperless initiative in Payroll

Dear Faculty, Staff, and Student Employee Colleagues,

As part of our initiative to be more efficient, reduce costs and help in our overall sustainability goals, effective July 1, 2017 (check date July 7, 2017 for Middlebury and July 14, 2017 for Monterey) the Payroll Office will no longer be printing direct deposit stubs. All pay information can be found online via BannerWeb.

The online stub is an enhanced version of the paper stub and contains all the same information, and more. You can find detailed information on deductions, taxable income, employer contributions, year-to-date totals, and tax filing status. The electronic stub can be used for verification of employment for mortgages, loans, etc., and you have access to all of your paystubs anytime.

Access to your paystub is through BannerWeb. Instructions can be found here or at go/payroll.

As a reminder, direct deposit is another way we can all help reduce costs and increase efficiencies. Instructions for direct deposit can be found here or at go/payroll.

CHANGE IN PAYROLL DEADLINE FOR BW14

Please read the following changes to the time entry deadline for BW14 (pay date 07/07/17). These changes are required to accommodate for the July 4th holiday1. This is a change to the time entry deadline only, there is NO change to the pay date.

Pay period BW14 (06/19/17 – 07/02/17)

  • Deadline for submitting AND approving time – Friday, 06/30/17 12:00pm
  • Paychecks and direct deposits issued and dated – Friday, 07/07/17

1July 4th is a federal holiday and a floating holiday for the College. The Payroll and Human Resources Offices will be closed that day. Payroll processing must be accelerated to account for the closed day.

Please read below the changes to the time entry deadlines and pay dates for BW23 (pay date 11/10/16) and BW24 (pay date 11/23/16). These changes are required to accommodate for Veterans Day1 and the Thanksgiving holiday.

Pay period BW23 (10/24/16 – 11/06/16)

  • Deadline for submitting/approving time – Monday, 11/07/16 12:00pm
  • Paychecks and direct deposits issued and dated – Thursday, 11/10/16

 

Pay period BW24 (11/07/16 – 11/20/16)

  • Deadline for submitting/approving time – Friday, 11/18/16 10:00am
  • Paychecks and direct deposits issued and dated – Wednesday, 11/23/16

1Veterans Day is a federal holiday and all banks are closed. To comply with ACH deposit rules, payroll processing must be accelerated to account for the closed day.
