CHANGE IN PAYROLL DEADLINE FOR BW14

Please read the following change to the time entry/approval deadline for BW14 (pay date 07/06/18). This change is required to accommodate for the July 4th holiday1. Note: this is a change to the time entry/approval deadline only; there is NO change to the pay date.

Pay period BW14 (06/18/18 – 07/01/18):

  • Deadline for submitting AND approving time – Monday, 07/02/18 12:00pm
  • Paychecks and direct deposits issued and dated – Friday, 07/06/18

 

1July 4th is a federal holiday and a floating holiday for the College. The Payroll and Human Resources Offices will be closed that day. Payroll processing must be accelerated to accommodate for the closed day.

IRS releases updated Form W-4 and Withholding Calculator

Updated 2018 Federal Tax Withholding Tables

Updated 2018 Federal Tax Withholding Tables

The IRS issued updated Federal withholding tax tables as part of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017. Many employees will see an increase in their next paycheck issued in February. The IRS is currently working to revise the Form W-4 and the tax withholding calculator. The links below provide information related to the new Act.

CHANGE IN PAYROLL DEADLINE FOR THE LAST PAYROLL OF 2017 – MONTEREY (CB26)

The Institute will be closed for the December break beginning at 5:01pm on Friday, December 22, 2017 and will end at 11:59pm on Monday, January 1, 2018. The following change has been made to the time entry and time approval deadline.

  • Deadline for submitting AND approving time – Friday, 12/15/17 at NOON (12:00pm)
    • Remember to submit your time prior to NOON to allow supervisors adequate time to approve timesheets; please note, the pay period is 12/11/17-12/24/17 and may include some Holiday time.
    • Non-exempt employees must record December 22nd 5:01 pm through 11:59 pm January 1st as “Holiday.”  Exempt employees do not need to record Holiday hours this period.

Due to the Institute being closed on Friday, 12/29/17, your paycheck for CB26 (check date 12/29/17) will be available for pickup at the following location:

Where: Security Hut behind the Admissions building (Lara Soto Adobe Building.)

When: Any time after 8:30AM; if no one is in the Hut, please use the blue phone to call security and someone will come and give you your check. Please be prepared to show a photo ID.

Please note that 12/29/17 is not a federal holiday and banks will be open. To accommodate for the short workweek during the week of Thanksgiving, the following change has been made to the time entry/time approval deadline:

Pay period BW24 (11/06/17 – 11/19/17)

  • Deadline for submitting/approving time – Friday, 11/17/17 10:00am (time entry and ALL approvals)
  • Paychecks and direct deposits issued and dated – Wednesday, 11/22/17
