Updates

Updates Drupal 8.7, 8.7.1, and the Drupal easy_breadcrumb module version 8x-1.10 are being tested and will need to be deployed during a downtime window, likely this week, as they require database updates.

Fixes and Tweaks

  • The Drupal 8 Offices and Services site now has several new components which can be used to add dynamic content to a page, including the Mega CTA (Call to Action), Themed Panel, Image with Text, CTA Group, Announcement, and Event Schedule.

Fixes and Tweaks

  • Offices: Fixed issue where office-site editors couldn’t see the homepage of an office-site after it was viewed by an anonymous user.
  • Institute, offices, and other Drupal 8 sites: We’ve added file-version tags to images and other assets that allows browsers to cache them indefinitely while safely getting informed of new versions by URL changes in the HTML markup. This speeds the browsing experience as previously-seen images don’t need to be re-downloaded.

Weekly Web Updates – March 25, 2019

The old Middlebury Institute websites that were at www.miis.edu and old.miis.edu are now fully offline. During the redesign of the site we made an effort to add redirects from the old copy of the content to the version on the new website and these redirects remain in place. Nearly all of the content on the old site was public and, as such, can still be viewed in the Internet Archive.
