A new tool for research in geography, geosciences, and environmental studies

Through the end of the month, Middlebury has access to a new website called Engineering Village that combines two research databases, GeoRef and GEOBASE, covering geology, geochemistry, geophysics, geomechanics, human and physical geography, environmental sciences, oceanography, alternative energy sources, pollution, waste management and conservation.

What’s so new about Engineering Village? Well, two things really: it brings together two databases (GeoRef and GEOBASE) that we normally search separately and it includes a Google Maps search. So, a search for “fluvial geomorphology Vermont” returns 84 articles, geo-referenced for you:
