Ian,

I sent you a code snippet for http://www.Middlebury.edu that uses Google Analytic’s new “Asynchronous Tracking” model described here: http://code.google.com/apis/analytics/docs/tracking/asyncTracking.html

The big difference is that “the asynchronous snippet allows browsers to continue rendering the page while ga.js loads in the background.”
