The radio begins to broadcast at precisely 8:00 p.m. The voices discuss the manufacturing of lethal gas in a Vevoda factory, and Agent #41 and #9 are ready to strike. “Quiet, confident, and in complete harmony”, they enter the newspaper building without the alarm of anyone. On their way up the staircase, #9 dreams of the celebration after the mission.

The Agents break into the presumed broadcast room but discovers neither furniture of any person. Only a spinning phonograph, a microphone, and a small radio transmitter are seen.

Jen comments on the agents of breaking into the room. Unlike the agents, Jen successfully enters the English department’s office in Standefer Hall by using a master key from the secretary’s office. While Eric warns: “This is such a huge mistake”, Jen baits his understanding and interests with a question–

“But you are interested in what I found, aren’t you?”
