A radio signal has been emanating from a building in P–––. This signal is connecting Vévoda to all kinds of terrible crimes which he does not like. It is also likely that whoever is sending the signals out is the ominous S. whom he has been searching several years for. The time between each radio broadcast is “nineteen days and nineteen hours” which is a recurring number throughout this novel. Nineteen sailors on the ship, nineteen books by Straka, what is the significance of this number? The odd thing about this radio is that it is a man and a woman rather than just the singular S. This should be the clue to the agents that something is off.
