p. 301

This page continues to discuss the murder of the Archduke with the mention of Princip, the man who killed Franz. He was one of three men sent by a secret organization to kill The Archduke, and he was the only one successful in this plan. Gavril Princip was sentenced to jail for 20 years, but died early in his sentence from tuberculosis.

Gavrilo Princip.

Although the novel only contains the name, Princip, it discussed potential conspiracies including Vévoda. The text then discusses how the unnamed man, simply known as Agent #4, was brought into the conversation with a group of drunks, and he pondered why it seemed that he was only noticed by those who are drunk.

Within the margins, Eric and Jen discuss how nothing is simple within the world of Straka, and then they discuss the power of Bouchard, which relates to the Bouchard-Prix prize that Straka was awarded.
