During the text of this page S and his group continue to smell the horrid smell. As they continue to climb, in order to escape the trackers, the smell grows stronger and more foul. S is helping Stenfalk up the mountain, but also struggling with the horrible smell in the air. When and Stenfalk reach the summit, they notice a, “dark mountain tarn that looks like an ink-stain on the land,” (155).
