The  old Agent of Vevoda is expressing support of Edvar VI and speaking highly of him. He tells how Edvar VI will lead the company to new dimensions with his witty and curious nature. S. is very happy to see that the chaos is happening so that he can explore Vevoda’s cellars. However, S. suddenly hears gunshot and a lot of echoing. This makes him wonder, partly guilty. He hadn’t expected Edvar VI to be shot. he wonders if it’s one of Vevoda’s agents or an angry guest.

In the Marginalia, Jen write about how Esme Plunderson-Plump called her and asked if Eric and Jen were interested in writing a book that rehabilitates Tiago Garcia Ferrara. However, when Jen proposed to publish the VMS book, she laughingly told Jen that she had previously reminded Eric not to chase after ghosts.

Oh: Esme Plunderson-Plump called today. Wanted to know if we were interested in writing “the book that rehabilitates Tiago Garcia Ferrara.” I asked if she’d publish our Vaclav book+ she laughed…….Fine. Screw her. She doesn’t deserve out book when we write it, I mean.
