Raised in a provincial central Illinois town, my interests in cultures and travel2016-10-13-14-07-36
were not shared by my family, friends or community as a whole. Nevertheless, I recognized these interests were fundamental to who I was and did not let my lack of exposure to them dissuade me from obtaining a Bachelors of Science in Anthropology.

My undergraduate studies provided me with the opportunity to uncover the rich diversity of mankind, study abroad, and work with international students as an International House Ambassador.

After graduating in 2013, it took me a few years of working in other fields and some soul searching to realize that what I wanted to do professionally was utilize my passion for travel and leadership skills to encourage students to participate in study abroad programs so that they may find new opportunities to grow as individuals and citizens of the world.

This revelation lead me to research graduate programs that would allow me to focus on my interest in international higher education, ultimately resulting in my acceptance into the International Education Management Master’s program at Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey, CA where I recently graduated from after completing my six-month practicum  working for CEA Study Abroad’s Prague office.
