CCI Career Conversation – Health Care Advocacy: What does a law degree have to do with health care policy and how can you make a difference? Dave Sterrett, Esq. is a principal at the Health Care Policy Group and a former health care counsel for Public Citizen. Dave has worked on and off in federal and local politics for fifteen years with the last five years focused exclusively on health care policy. In addition to lobbying and doing public relations in the health care arena, he reviews health policy books for the Washington Independent Review of Books, and is on the Finance Committee for Crisisline (a crisis hotline in Arlington, VA.) His work has appeared in the Huffington Post, Roll Call, and Inside Health Policy and he has been interviewed on the Bill Press Show, Radio France Internationale, The Morning Grind on AM 950 in Minneapolis, and KBOO.fm.
