Senior IT Business Analyst for IDEXX Laboratories

Lisa Darak-Druck graduated from Middlebury College in 1992 as one of the first Women’s Studies majors, after having served on the Women’s Center (Chellis House) steering committee and as a founding member of the Oasis Outreach peer counseling collective. The focus of Lisa’s degree was on the intersection of Religion and Feminism, and her senior research thesis was entitled “Let the Women Speak through Music: A Discussion of the Commonalities and Differences between Amy Grant and Fanny Crosby, Looking for a 19th and 20th Century Woman’s Voice in Christian Music.”

Without the money to go directly to Graduate School, Lisa entered the business realm in the unexpected area of Accounting. Over the last 25 years, her career has progressed through various positions in Accounting & Finance, Payroll, Human Resources, and Information Technology. Through her experiences, Lisa has developed a passion for connecting people and technology, with a particular focus on the partnership between the female-dominated HR industry and the male-dominated world of IT. She is currently a Senior IT Business Analyst for IDEXX Laboratories, a worldwide leader in pet and livestock healthcare innovation, serving practicing veterinarians around the world with a broad range of diagnostic and information technology-based products and services.

In addition to her paid work, Lisa serves on the Board of Directors for the Alliance of Baptists, an international progressive Christian community dedicated to furthering equity, justice, and healing in a changing and challenging world. Starting with her time at Middlebury, Lisa’s spiritual life and growth have been rooted in her understanding of herself as a woman, a feminist, and a lesbian.

Lisa lives in Westbrook, ME with her wife Jani and their animal family.
