Owner of Northern Daughters gallery

Justine Jackson graduated from Middlebury College with a Major in Latin American Studies and Sociology. Since then, she has been developing her professional career through experiences ranging from leading horse pack trips in Argentina and Colorado, developing and promoting arts events in New York City, teaching at youth trade schools in rural Ghana and Vermont to directing a commercial gallery. All of these adventures have led her back home to Vermont where she has opened Northern Daughters, a contemporary art gallery located in Vergennes, Vermont. The gallery exhibits the work of artists from both near and far, striving to merge the aesthetic of blue chip galleries with the familiarity and authenticity of a Vermont general store. The gallery also serves as a space for performances, screenings, symposiums, social events, and radical community engagement and activism.
