Watson Fellowship provides a $25,000 grant to college graduates of “unusual promise” a year of independent, purposeful exploration and travel – in international settings new to them – to enhance their capacity for resourcefulness, imagination, openness, and leadership and to foster their humane and effective participation in the world community. Wright’s approach to food writing is rooted in his successful career in the field of international affairs, as he was the Executive Director of the American Middle East Peace Research Institute. On an ideal evening, this site can experience a thousand or more amphibians of seven species crossing from their wooded wintering sites to vernal pools where they breed.
